Kirkman’s Beta-1,3/1,6-Glucan is a potent immune supporting nutritional supplement. As opposed to most of the beta glucan products on the market, Kirkman’s incorporates a form of glucan that’s very active and supports immune function. This singular compound energizes the immune response by supporting white blood cells called macrophages. Kirkman® utilizes a plant-based compound form of beta glucan that’s recognized as a long chain polysaccharide molecule comprised of highly purified glucose. It’s different than regular glucose in that it’s comprised of many glucose molecules joined together in a long branched chain with a specific chemical arrangement in the first and third glucose positions. The frequency and nature of the side chains have been demonstrated to be crucial for the biological activity of different beta glucans.
